Colonie's Family Organization

The Colonie Youth Center (CYC), a 501(c)(3) organization, is the largest independent not-for-profit organization serving the children and families of Colonie. The mission of CYC is to provide young people and their families in the Town of Colonie with programs and services designed to enhance the quality of their lives. Founded in 1965 by a group of North Colonie students, the organization has grown to include school age child care (before and after school care) at 17 locations in the Town of Colonie, recreational and summer camp programs and free counseling services to those who need it.

The Rudy A. Ciccotti Family Recreation Center is the newest addition to the opportunities provided by CYC. The facility is a multi-generational recreation and wellness center that will offer two full size gymnasiums, a suspended running track, and a fitness and aquatic complex. The Ciccotti Center is under construction RIGHT NOW and will officially open its doors in December 2006. For additional information about the Rudy A.
